I'm gearing up to teach Ovid's Metamorphoses in my tutorials this week.
It was kind of funny this afternoon. I was sitting at the kitchen table, reading about Ceres (Demeter) and Proserpina (Persephone), and my gaze happened to stray from my page, out the window, to cold skies and rainbow foliage. I couldn't help but smile as I made this connection.
I am such a nerd. But then I never claimed to be otherwise.
My cousin and her husband are stuck twenty minutes outside of Cancun, and no one has heard from them since Wednesday. While, apparently, no one died in the Cancun-area, please keep Kim and Shawn in your thoughts nonetheless.
