Happy-happy joy-joy!
I'm done my Christmas shopping! Yay! I braved the scary mall and survived. Yeah, I know I swore I'd go to boutiques instead, but I had to get some--if not all--of my shopping done yesterday. Fear not, though, I've made good on my vow to purchase many a book to give away (though I am SO tempted to hang on to the Tolkien Bestiary and rock encyclopedia I bought for friends! Don't worry... I'll be good...)
...And the verdict is in!
My sister's opinion on the film version of Spiderman: "One major problem: not enough James Franco!"
Still grinning
A Two Towers review I read last week noted the striking resemblance between Gollum and Rene Levesque (oh, so true!) And then Kerri turns to me during the movie on Thursday and says of Gollum, "He sounds like Sharon Osbourne!" Heh heh hee...
No, Oasis, I can't stop crying my eyes out!
Joe Strummer of my dear, dear The Clash died yesterday. He was only 50. What a loss to the music world! My thoughts are with his family.
Random, but spooky tidbit
Before hearing today of Strummer's death, I dressed myself in my Clash t-shirt.
On a happier note...
My hair was funkified by my trusty hairdresser, Scott, on Friday.
Happier still!
My brother and his friend are no longer monopolizing the computer/computer room!
And that's all for now, folks! The extended family is over tomorrow, so a Christmas Eve post is doubtful. Bear with me, though. Check back Christmas Day. I may have something for you then. Until then, I hope you have the happiest of holidays and I wish peace to you and your families!
