One Hundred More Things You May or May Not Know About Natalie
Note: The first hundred things can be found here.

1. I'm a hopeless romantic.
2. Consequently, Fall is my favourite season.
3. There's something wonderfully erotic in the chill air and dying leaves.
4. Hm. (Looking at #4) I think I've been affected too much by the little Bataille (parts of Erotisme) I've read.
5. A former roommate calls me the Cheese 80s Queen.
6. I have the beginnings of a great collection of 1980s flicks, including Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Heathers, and
Flashdance.
7. I'm a brunette, but my hair has a lot of red in it (though you can only see it in certain lights.)
8. I've always wanted auburn hair.
9. When I'm older, if my hair turns yellow-grey instead of silver-grey, I'm not going grey at all: I'm going auburn!
10. I have brown eyes.
11. Everyone has an opinion on who I look like.
12. Some say my mom, others say my dad.
13. Mom says I look like me.
14. How boring.
15. At least I'm original.
16. I think originality is important.
17. I think everyone's an original.
18. I know that sounds trite.
19. In elementary school, I was teased for my well-developed vocabulary.
20. Kids called me the "Walking, Talking Dictionary."
21. They weren't that creative.
22. I like to think of myself as a creative person.
23. It may sound conceited, but I also like to think that I'm intelligent.
24. I've never had an "official" (ie. one that's not on-line) I.Q. test.
25. I'm paranoid that I'll found out something I'd rather not.
26. I know that tests and grades are really arbitrary, a measure of what one can regurgitate.
27. Even still, I can't help thinking they're important.
28. A quotation that describes my attitude at this point in my life comes from The Smiths' song Frankly, Mr Shankly: "Frankly, Mr Shankly, this position Ive held / it pays my way, but it corrodes my soul / I want to leave, you will not miss me / I want to go down in musical history". (Morissey / Johnny Marr)
29. I'm tired of academia.
30. I can't wait to be done with school so I can get on with it.
31. "It" being my writing career.
32. I want to go down in literary history.
33. The Smiths' album The Queen is Dead is one of my favourite albums.
34. It ranks up there with The Clash's London Calling; Coldplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head; Duran Duran's Rio; Dave Matthews Band's Before These Crowded Streets; Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's So Far; The Jimi Hendrix Experience's Are You Experienced? (the first CD I ever bought); and The Matthew Good Band's Underdogs.
35. I have a lot of favourite albums.
36. I don't usually point out the obvious.
37. At least, I try not to.
38. My favourite books are The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Little Prince by Antoine de Sainte-Exupery and The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath.
39. Sylvia Plath is also my favourite poet.

48. Nor am I afraid of who I am becoming.
49. In May/June 2004, I will be the proud owner of a Combined Honors Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature and Civilization, and English Language and Literature.
50. Despite my major being what it is, I don't get to do nearly as much reading as I'd like.
51. Perhaps it's because my major is what it is that I don't get to read as much as I'd like!
52. I have a really bad habit of getting half-way through a book before setting it aside and moving on to another one.
53. I always tell myself I'll go back to finish it.

63. I hope it is selected for performance.

65. I LOVE the Magnetic Fields song, "The Death of Ferdinand de Saussure."
66. I don't think I could date another writer.
67. Writers can be very self-centered when they are writing.
68. I include myself in #67.
69. I like being friends with other writers, though.

75. I have way too much to do first.
76. Lately, though, I've been feeling conflicted.
77. I know I'd be a nurturing, wonderful mother.
78. But being a nurturing, wonderful mother comes into conflict with the things I sometimes need to do as a writer (this includes self-absorption).
79. I'm confident, though, that I'll figure things out.
80. I'm confident that some of these "things" are overlapping with those on my last list.

88. I have a love/hate relationship with my university's student newspaper.
89. Most of the time I find it informative and/or amusing.
90. But there are a few writers on staff who cannot write.

99. I am proud to be a Canadian.
100. I sincerely apologize if any of this sounded too much like my last list.
