I do make a fantastic pot of soup--whether that be on my own or the greatest soup cookbook ever! I made a kidney bean soup of my own creation two weeks ago; this past Sunday, I made Ken Kostick's Butternut Squash with Curry and Apple. And tonight? Ken's Creamy Spinach Soup with Fennel. Deeeeee-lish.
One of my roommates wants me to adopt her. Another has told me that when I cook it "smells like home." (This same roommate--who, as far as I can tell [I've never eaten anything she's made], can cook--wants me to give her cooking lessons.) It's nice to have my culinary skills so appreciated.
If academia/writing doesn't work out, maybe I can fall back into a kitchen somewhere?
