For years I have wanted to see In the Name of the Father (dir. Jim Sheridan) and I finally had the opportunity to do so this evening. I am just-- seething. And I am, alternately, so thankful that my great-grandparents got out of Belfast--heck! that they got out of the U.K.!--when they did.
I can't clearly articulate how I'm feeling right now, but if you're inclined to investigate why I'm so upset, you can read all about Gerry Conlon (the Daniel Day-Lewis character in In the Name of the Father) and the rest of the Guildford Four on your own by clicking here.
