I telephoned my sister, but neither she nor her roommate was in. Fortunately, I checked my e-mail after hanging up the phone. My mom sent me a letter. The woman who was in the car was fine (even though Via initially told its passengers there was a fatality) and because she was fine, my sister is fine. She was a little pissed off at the three hour delay, but she's fine.
I, on the other hand, am a tool. I missed my first class of the semester today because I forgot my schedule on my desk and, since it's a new class, I didn't know the room number. I was at the bus stop when I realized it and decided I'd just check my schedule on-line once I got to school. But the bus finally arrived on campus at five to three and then I bumped into my roommate from last year. I couldn't very well just run off to check my room number then, now could I? By the time she and I said our good-byes it was five after. It would have taken me at least another ten to fifteen minutes to look up the class and find the room (it's in a building I'm not that familiar with). Showing up twenty minutes late for an hour long lecture that wouldn't have lasted long as it was only the first day seemed ridiculous then. So I bought a coffee and came home. Hm. Way to start the semester, Natalie.
I got to catch up with my friend Ryan today, though. I really miss the guy. We're planning on catching up and exchanging Christmas/birthday presents on Friday night (yes, birthday presents. He still has mine from June and I still haven't given him his (his birthday is in October). I'm taking him out for dinner.) And then it's off to the movies for us two LOTR nerds. Heh. Need you ask what we're seeing?
On the whole it was a pretty good day. Now, if I could just get over this cold...
